  One such figure is Helen Keller, a deafblind author, activist, and lecturer. Despite losing her sight and hearing at a young age, Keller, with the dedicated support of her teacher Anne Sullivan, learned to communicate and navigate the world around her.   Dr. Raju’s commitment to tackling childhood blindness is evident in his role as the founder and president of EFA. Guided by his mentor’s philosophy that “there are three solutions for any problem – education, education, and education,” the EFA has become a beacon of hope for millions. Since its inception in 1979, it has established two eye institutes in India, expanded its reach to over 25 countries, and provided life-changing surgeries to countless individuals.
